The 1st session of “River Bank Clearing” took place at Glangrwyne Court at 10am on Sunday 11th January.
We were very pleased with the turnout of members & friends who attended & we thank them all for their stirling efforts. We picked up a lot of litter and “lopped off” quite a few branches which should make access to the river a lot easier.
We held the 2nd session on the 18th of January at Red Barn.
We had a great turn out once again which is very much appreciated.
The 3rd session was held on 25th January at the Bull Pit Meadows at 10am.
Please note the “little monkey” on the wall in front of Steve Carrington. He found it sticking it’s head out of a molehill and thought it would be a good mascot for the “Bank Clearing Gang” we are looking for suggestion on what his name should be. Members are invited to send in their suggestions.
The 4th session was held on February 1st at Bridge Meadow-Pant y Goytre at 10am
We would like to thank everyone who turned up and also to compliment Ken Evans on the excellent work he has done at Bridge Meadow building steps and ladders. Members will find it much easier now getting down to and up from the river. More “Work Parties” will be scheduled for later in the year. We shall publish the dates nearer the time in order for you to enter into your diaries.
